We’re just over a month away from the release of EA Sports’ Madden NFL 21, which means it’s the time of year where NFL players are complaining about their virtual ratings on Twitter.
EA Sports has been slowly dropping player ratings by position as we move closer to launch day. On Friday, the top ten wide receivers in the game were revealed, and New Orleans Saints superstar Michael Thomas was awarded with a coveted 99 overall rating.

Thomas becomes the eighth wide receiver to earn a 99 in Madden history, after Jerry Rice (who was a 100 overall in Madden ’99), Marvin Harrison, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson and Antonio Brown. Some fans aren’t happy with Thomas’ rating, though, particularly those in Atlanta.
Here are the 10 highest-rated wide receivers in Madden NFL 21:
1. Michael Thomas (NO): 99 overall

Chark was one of just nine wide receivers to produce over 1,000 yards and 8 touchdowns last season. DeVante Parker, Miami Dolphins.
