There are two main companies in New Orleans that offer cruise services on the Mississippi River: The Steamboat Natchez and the Creole Queen Paddlewheeler. Each riverboat provides both a sunset dinner cruise and a lunch cruise in addition to several other services. The Riverboat Louis Armstrong is a 3,000 passenger entertainment venue that was previously a casino boat in Indiana. Based along the Mississippi River in New Orleans, it will host weddings. We have a huge land-based casino in the heart of downtown New Orleans - Harrah's. If you really want to experience a riverboat, we have two in the suburbs: Treasure Chest in Kenner (near the airport) and Boomtown in Harvey, across the river. Keep in mind they stay docked, so each may as well be land-based!

The 880 passenger Paddlewheeler Creole Queen is New Orleans’ most luxurious daily excursions riverboat on the Mississippi River. The Creole Queen is an traditional riverboat powered by a 24-ft diameter paddlewheel. She has three private dining rooms giving her the largest indoor capacity available on excursion vessels in New Orleans.
